A relay with an adjustable delay that works on 12V. As soon as the relay is powered with 12V, it takes a few (adjustable) seconds before the relay switches. The time can be set between 0.1s and 1 hour. In addition, this relay module can also be set to switch immediately when it is powered with 12V, and to switch back after the set delay (see images).
Specifications:
- Supply voltage: 12V DC
- Signal voltage: 12V
- Maximum current: ~50mA (relay enabled)
- Maximum voltage across relay: 30V
- Maximum current through relay:
- Resistive load: 7A (28V DC)
- Inductive load: 3A (28V DC)
- Adjustable delay between 0.1 second and 1 hour using potentiometer and jumpers (see images for setting the delay)
- Dimensions: See images
Pinout:
- VCC: Supply/signal voltage
- GND: Ground supply/signal voltage
Explanation jumpers:
- S1, S2 and S4: Controls the delay (see pictures)
- S5: Jumper S5 connects the common of the relay to VCC (note: can only be connected if there is 12V DC on the common!)
- S6: If the jumper S6 is connected, and the S7 is not connected: As soon as the relay is energized and thus the delay begins, the relay closes and the common terminal is connected to the normally open (NO) terminal. Once the delay is over, the relay switches again and the common terminal is connected to the normally closed (NC) terminal.
- S7: If the jumper S7 is connected, and the S6 is not connected: As soon as the relay is supplied with power, the delay starts. When this has expired, the relay switches and the normally open (NO) will be connected to the common. Only when the power is removed from the VCC, the relay switches back again.
Package contents:
- 1x 12V Relay with Adjustable Delay – 1 Hour – NO-NC Adjustable
Note: This relay is (due to the PCB design) not suitable for high voltages such as 250V.
